AEC technology is quickly evolving as AI becomes the new normal.
For many businesses, the challenge isn’t deciding whether AI matters anymore but it’s working out where to start, what to use and how to make it genuinely useful.
That was one of the key themes in our recent conversation with Dwayne Daniels, Customer Success Leader at Haber Group, as we discussed the changing technology landscape and our upcoming AEC technology event, Already behind.
Dwayne’s view is refreshingly practical: businesses don’t need to transform everything overnight. They need to start small.
Look at your working day. Where are people losing hours to repetitive administrative tasks? What processes slowing projects down? Where are employees spending time searching, organising, writing or preparing information?
Those are the opportunities to explore. For AEC firms in particular, AI isn’t necessarily about replacing the expertise of architects, engineers or construction professionals. It can be about reducing the friction around them from helping teams develop ideas, challenge concepts, organise information to making better use of their time.
And there’s another important part of the conversation: AI adoption isn’t just about technology. It’s about people.Businesses need to understand what AI can do, establish sensible governance and give their teams the confidence to experiment responsibly. They also need to learn from one another.
That’s exactly why we created Already Behind.
On September 17th in New York, Haber Group is bringing together a curated group of AEC principals, owners and business leaders for an evening focused on technology, AI, business challenges and perhaps most importantly, real conversations.
No sales pitch. No endless presentations. Just people sharing what they’re seeing, what they’re trying and what they’re learning.
Because staying ahead is about staying curious, staying connected and being willing to take the next step.
You might not be behind today. But if technology keeps moving and you stop learning, someone else will be.
If you’re an AEC leader in New York and would benefit from being part of the conversation, get in touch with the Haber Group team.
Already Behind? Let’s make sure you’re not.
